Since the very beginning, PEUGEOT has diversified its production yet has always remained industrially consistent. Its strategy has constantly been in tune with the needs of the time and the environment.
FIRST MANUFACTURING DIVERSIFICATION
PEUGEOT Frères began manufacturing hand tools for all trades.
COFFEE GRINDER MANUFACTURING
PEUGEOT began manufacturing coffee grinders for domestic and commercial use (grocery shops, cafés, etc.). Although licence rights have now been transferred, the coffee grinders are still made today with the original mechanism.
STEEL CRINOLINE MANUFACTURING
8.5 tonnes of crinolines in steel, instead of the traditional and more fragile wicker, were produced every month.
Manufacturing of PEUGEOT electric tools ceased in 1986.
CREATION OF THE PEUGEOT DESIGN LAB
PEUGEOT opened its innovative design studio to external, non-automotive customers.
